my mathematical life
- Since September 2019 I am a tenure-track professor at TU München.
- From August 2018 to August 2019 I was a Førsteamanuensis, which is the Norwegian way of saying Associate Professor, in the Geometry & Topology group at NTNU in Trondheim, funded by BFS, the Bergen Research Foundation. See the project website Higher category theory meets quantum field theory (CATSinQFT).
- From April 2017 until mid-August 2018 I was a research fellow at Oxford University, supported by an Advanced Postdoc.Mobility fellowship from the Swiss National Foundation.
- From January 2015 until March 2017 I was a postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn, partially supported by an Early Postdoc.Mobility fellowship from the Swiss National Foundation.
- From October to December 2014 I was a visitor at IHÉS
- I defended my PhD thesis on Factorization Homology as a Fully Extended Topological Field Theory at ETH Zürich in August 2014.
- Before that I studied at the University of Technology in Vienna, Austria. My degree is in Technical Mathematics with a specialization in Mathematics in the Natural Sciences. In the spring of 2008 I was at ETH Zürich with an ERASMUS scholarship. In spring 2009 I returned to ETH Zürich to work on my diploma thesis on Arakelov Geometry with a View towards Integral Points.
- I was a counselor for PROMYS, a summer program in mathematics for high school students at Boston University, in the summers of 2006 and 2007.
- During high school ("Gymnasium") my interest in mathematics was sparked by the Austrian Mathematical Oympiad.
